Gold's Gym

Golds Gym is a nice place to workout they always keep the place clean the staff is nice the New GM Chris is nice he listened to the need of the customer. I see him walk around an greet the customers it is such an amazing vibe in here.

First time going to a golds gym using a 3 day pass was a great experience I spoke with the general manager Chris who was very respectful. This gym is very clean and organized. The only reason I give it 4 stars instead of 5 is that it’s a lot smaller than it seems from the outside which makes it seem like you’re on top of the person working out next to you. I would love to sign up for golds but I think the price for the lowest membership is pretty steep compared to getting similar things at nearby gyms. If you use the classes then this is a fair price but it’s not for everyone. If prices came down to around $15-20 for a basic membership for just the gym I would sign up instantly.

Great gym with nice staff. Nice and clean gym. If equipment is out of service it is usually fixed quickly. Main gripe for the 4 star is to try persuading the owners to buy more weights. The 45lb weights are very scarce in the benching area and the benches and surrounding machines all use the plates. I’d say on average there are 4-6 45lb plates total for the 5-6 bench presses they have. If 2-3 average to heavy lifters bench at the same time you’re going to run out of weight quick. Was going to do seated calf raises today and ran into the same issue of no 45s being available even on the reserve rack next to it. Weird feeling of a gym being low on weights. There aren’t enough smaller plates to make up for the missing 45s. I mean in theory they might have enough but they're not distributed well so you’ll have to find some that people aren’t using across the gym and bring it over while hoping no one steals the machine/bench while you’re gone.

I joined the gym about three weeks ago. The guy who sold me my membership was friendly and knowledgeable, but he didn't seem like he was too interested in helping me. Granted I came to the gym about 7 pm and I believe he was ready to go home for the day, but still. This was my 3rd time of coming to gym to get a tour and sign-up but was instructed to come back as "someone in membership had to be the one to tour me." My experience from there has been one of the best of any gym I belonged to in the past. Front Desk Staff want to be there. They greet you on your way in and way out. They are very helpful. I had a situation the other night. I left my cell phone on a machine. I returned shortly after closing time. The guy was more than willing to help me and was able to locate my cell phone. They gym is very clean. The sauna is great. The gym has exceeded my expectations. I'm glad I was finally able to get a membership and would recommend it to all.
